Colour are not wonderfully inspiring, though the florals are nice, but the idea is interesting.

Might have to try all green for the pieced parts of the designs.

Christmas Forest and Tree Trims 11, 12 from Virtual Quilter

Nice tablecloth rather than a quilt, though a lot of space for the stains to show … a reminder that I must find our Christmas tablecloth with all the memories of Christmas past stained into the fabric!

This design looks like something small for the centre of a table, with a small tree in the centre, though that would hide the centre star.

A Whiter Shade of Pale 29, 30 from Virtual Quilter

Love the idea of a very low contrast quilt like these, but I don’t think I want to live with one.

At least that saves me the task of picking out one design to make!

Did you know that almost every applique design, and pieced design too, can be used as a quilting motif? That is why we like to see the back of a quilt as well as the front.

Also, modern waddings do not need to be quilted nearly as closely as those which were made before the middle of last century. After all, some quilters wash wadding before they put it into the quilt sandwich.

Log Cabin Leaf Central 46, 47, 48, 49, 50 from Virtual Quilter

I am not sure how it is the middle of another week … it feels like there has just been a couple of days, but apart from the usual week days we have had a long weekend since the last mid week.

I am not going to pick a favourite this week … I like them all. A very interesting mixture of designs.

The one above is probably my least favourite design, but it is still an interesting design.

Love the fig leaves in this one … perhaps they should all have been fig leaves.
